Terms of Service

I have designed my terms and conditions to ensure that you are treated fairly as a customer, and I am treated fairly as a retailer. When buying from my online store, you automatically agree to these terms and conditions.

 

Disclaimer

I cannot guarantee that every item will always be available, although I do everything I can to avoid disappointing you. My website and store should be online 365 days a year, but I cannot guarantee this, as I am subject to issues relating to the internet that I can’t control. Please note that the color of the jewellery you see on your screen can never be 100% true to life. The appearance will depend on the kind of screen you have and how it is calibrated. No personal information you supply when you buy from my web shop will ever be shared with a third party. Finally, all the visual and written content on the website is the property of Sofie Ladefoged Jewellery and will be protected by all legal means. You may not use any of it without my formal, written approval. 

Payments

When you make an order, I trust that the information you have given is accurate and true, that you are over 18 and that you are authorized to use the payment card. Your card will not be charged until your jewellery leaves my shop. 

Shipping

When I have received your order, I will send you an email for confirmation. The delivery will be made by a selected, specialist courier service. When your jewellery is on its way, a tracking number will be sent so you can track your package.

Taxes and duties

These are outside my control, but you need to be aware of them. If you are ordering from a country within the EU, you will need to pay Danish VAT but no import duty. If you are ordering from a non-EU country, you don’t need to pay Danish VAT, but you may be charged an import duty. If there are any import or customs fees that you need to pay, the delivery company will let you know. It is your responsibility to pay these charges. Sometimes, customs clearance can cause a delay in the delivery. Sadly, this is something I cannot control or influence.

 

Refunds and returns

If you are unhappy with your Sofie Ladefoged Jewellery, you can exchange it or ask for a refund within 14 days of delivery. The jewellery must not have been worn for any other purpose than simply trying it on. If it has been worn or treated in any way that diminishes its value, I will not allow a return. You must return the item(s) in the original packaging. The refund can only be made to the payment card used when the item was bought. I will do this transaction as quickly as possible but aim to give your money back in your account within 10 working days of safely receiving the returned jewellery. You will not be given a refund for the return delivery cost. The safe return of your jewellery is your responsibility, I therefor strongly recommend that you choose a delivery service that can ensure the package and allow you to track its progress. If you want to exchange your jewellery item for another Sofie Ladefoged item, you still need to return the product you don’t want, using the process just described, and place a new order. If you buy jewellery as a Christmas present - and you make your order in December before the Christmas holidays - I will happily refund or exchange your purchase before January 10th in the new year.

 

How to return your jewellery

If you need to send your jewellery back to me, please follow these simple steps so I can help you as quickly as possible. Contact info@sofieladefoged.com and let me know what you’re going to send back, so I can be ready to deal with the issue. You must use the original packaging to ensure the jewellery arrives safe and sound. Please also include your proof of purchase and any tags still intact. It’s fine if you have tried on the jewellery but if it’s clear that it has been worn other than to see if you like it, or treated in any way that diminishes its value, I cannot accept a return. Protect the package during shipping. I recommend ensuring the package for the full account and choosing a shipping method that allows you to track it. It is your responsibility to get the jewellery to me safely. I cannot accept responsibility for anything lost or stolen in transit. Once I have checked the jewellery, I will send you an email. If a refund is due, it will be applied to the payment card, gift card, bank, or PayPal account you used to make the purchase. Please allow 10 working days for this transaction.I can only refund your shipping costs if the jewellery was sent in error or is faulty. Please be aware that I will not refund any sales tax or duties payable if you made your purchase outside the EU.

Repairs

Please contact me if your jewellery brakes or need modifications and I will be happy to help you get the correct repair.

You can send the jewellery to me, and I will make sure the repairs are performed by our skilled partners and goldsmiths to fit the quality. In addition to the repair costs there will be an additional shipping fee of 75.00 DKK. Contact info@sofieladefoged.com and let me know what you need to repair, so I can be ready to deal with the issue.
