Terms of Service

I have designed my terms and conditions to ensure that you are treated fairly as a customer, and I am treated fairly as a retailer. When buying from my online store, you automatically agree to these terms and conditions.

Disclaimer

While we strive for consistent stock levels and uninterrupted website access, Sofie Ladefoged Jewellery cannot guarantee constant item availability or site uptime due to technical factors beyond our control. Please note that actual jewellery colours may vary slightly depending on your screen's calibration. Your personal data is secure and will never be shared with third parties. All visual and written website content is the exclusive property of Sofie Ladefoged Jewellery and may not be used without prior written consent.

Payments

When you make an order, I trust that the information you have given is accurate and true, that you are over 18 and that you are authorized to use the payment card. Your card will not be charged until your jewellery leaves my shop.

Shipping

When I have received your order, I will send you an email for confirmation. The delivery will be made by a selected, specialist courier service. When your jewellery is on its way, a tracking number will be sent so you can track your package.

Taxes and duties

These are outside my control, but you need to be aware of them. If you are ordering from a country within the EU, you will need to pay Danish VAT but no import duty. If you are ordering from a non-EU country, you don’t need to pay Danish VAT, but you may be charged an import duty. If there are any import or customs fees that you need to pay, the delivery company will let you know. It is your responsibility to pay these charges. Sometimes, customs clearance can cause a delay in the delivery. Sadly, this is something I cannot control or influence.

Refunds and returns

You can return or exchange your Sofie Ladefoged Jewellery within 14 days of delivery if you are not completely satisfied. Items must be unworn, undamaged, and returned in their original packaging; returns may be refused if the jewellery shows signs of wear or reduced value.

Return shipping costs and the safe arrival of the package are the customer’s responsibility, and using a trackable, insured service is recommended. To make an exchange, return the original item for a refund and place a new order online.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 working days after the returned item is received, and original shipping fees are not refundable. Orders placed in December as Christmas gifts qualify for an extended return and exchange period until January 10th.

How to return your jewellery

If you need to return your jewellery, please email info@sofieladefoged.com so I can prepare for its arrival. Send it in the original packaging with your proof of purchase and intact tags. Trying it on is fine, but pieces showing wear or diminished value cannot be accepted. Ensure the parcel is protected, insured, and trackable, as its safe delivery is your responsibility. Once examined, I’ll contact you; approved refunds are issued to your original payment method and may take up to 10 working days. Shipping costs are refunded only for faulty or incorrect items, and sales tax or duties paid outside the EU cannot be reimbursed.

Repairs

Please contact me if your jewellery breaks or need modifications and I will be happy to help.

You can send the jewellery to me, and I will make sure the repairs are performed by our skilled partners and goldsmiths to fit the quality. In addition to the repair costs there will be an additional shipping fee of 75 DKK. Contact info@sofieladefoged.com and let me know what you need to repair, so I can be ready to deal with the issue.
