I seek to make timeless jewellery that lasts, both in material and design. I therefore rarely change my collection and only add new pieces after thorough consideration and testing.
My jewellery is an investment in craftsmanship, quality and indestructible materials, that will keep its value for generations. By buying good quality timeless jewellery, you invest in something that lasts for generations. If we take good care of our jewellery it can easily outlive us.
Thoughts on materials and sustainability
Materials
For jewellery to become a lasting treasure, beautiful design is not enough. Good looks will lose their appeal if the quality of materials is lacking in substance, and they are unsustainable.
Recycled gold
All my jewellery is made from 18 carat recycled gold.
The purest gold, otherwise known as ‘fine gold’, is graded as 24 carats. It is beautiful but extremely soft and very easy to damage. Therefore, for practical reasons, an alloy of other metals - usually palladium, copper, and silver - is added. Jewellery, like mine, referred to as 18 carat gold, is made from 75% fine gold. This combines durability with the perfect shine and color.
The sources for the gold I use are reclaims, industrial waste and jewellery scraps.
Fairmined diamonds
I use some of the finest fairmined diamonds on the market. Top Wesselton (color F to G, Vs to Si). Fairmined diamonds means that they are bought from official dealers who trade in accordance with UN resolutions, in areas of the world free from conflict.
All my diamond jewellery is delivered with a certificate of authenticity, to ensure you of their origin, quality, and clarity.
All packaging is made from recycled cardboard. CO2 emissions from shipping are compensated by the shipping companies.
